Latest steps forwards EnviGuard chemicals module

BIOTEM, has successfully developed high affinity and specific monoclonal antibodies against PCBs (PCB169 & PCB 126) and Okadaic Acid. Thanks to its expertise on difficult hapten targets, the company has implemented several chemical strategies for the preparation of immunogens such as structural analysis, functionalization and conjugation.

 

BIOTEM, French C.R.O (Contract Research Organization) specialized in custom antibody development since 1980, has successfully developed high affinity and specific monoclonal antibodies against PCBs (PCB169 & PCB 126) and Okadaic Acid.
Thanks to its expertise on difficult hapten targets, the company has implemented several chemical strategies for the preparation of immunogens such as structural analysis, functionalization and conjugation.

In addition, BIOTEM brought its 35-year know-how to the antibody development by proposing 2 strategies for this part of the project:

  • Murine Monoclonal Antibodies (Hybridoma Technology) - High affinity protocol and Exclusive Technology R.A.D® (Rapid Antibody Development)
  • Rabbit Monoclonal Antibodies (Phage Display Technology) - High affinity and specificity antibodies thanks to the high throughput screening system.

After rigorous tests and controls (screening & confirmation by competitive ELISA, …) these approaches have led to the generation of high quality monoclonal antibodies in terms of affinity and specificity.

The monoclonal antibodies developed by BIOTEM will be provided to the partners for further integration into the toxins & chemicals sensor module of the Enviguard detection system.
